About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Curatorial Project Assistant for the From the Vault exhibition, which focuses on museum collections and archival material. In this freelance role, you will work closely with the Chief Curator to implement and manage a museum exhibition for the duration of 8 (eight) months.

Stellenbosch Outdoor Sculpture Trust will be hosting the Stellenbosch Triennale 2025, the finest contemporary art from Africa for the world. A showcase for large-scale contemporary art exhibitions, the Stellenbosch Triennale is a non-commercial, multidisciplinary art platform hosting a range of artists from Africa and the diaspora.
Three to five years’ experience in museum practice and museum exhibition making
Strong logistics skills
Strong administrative skills
Strong communication and planning skillsÂ
Programme management skills essential
Interested in contemporary art museum practice globallyÂ
The position is on a contract basis and will run from September 2024 to April 2025
Required to work both virtually and in-office
Own transport is an advantage. Transport is not subsidised.
