We were delighted to be hosted by Oude Leeskamer for an unforgettable evening in conversation with Brenda Goldblatt on Thursday, February 8th.

The event brought together the Stellenbosch Triennale alongside proud patrons Private Clients at Old Mutual Wealth and curator Anelisa Mangcu (Under the Aegis) as the organisers of the Stellenbosch Outdoor Photography Exhibition for an intimate and engaging session with the daughter of the late David Goldblatt, in conversation with Ashley Walters.

Ashley Walters, a distinguished artist and head of photography at the Stellenbosch University, led a thought-provoking discussion with Brenda, exploring the profound impact of David Goldblatt’s work on South African photography. Against the backdrop of the beautiful Oude Leeskamer venue, attendees had the opportunity to delve into Brenda’s insights on her father’s legacy and the role of photography as a repository of community history.

It was truly a memorable occasion, where art, heritage, and community converged in a celebration of creativity and storytelling. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to De Oude Leeskamer for providing the perfect setting for this enriching experience.
