Greer Valley

Dr Greer Valley is a curator, scholar, and researcher whose work critically examines the intersections of art, history, and epistemic justice. As Senior Curator and Head of Curatorial Affairs at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) in Cape Town, she oversees exhibitions and programs that amplify artistic practices from Africa and its diasporas within global conversations. With a PhD in Art Historical Studies from the University of Cape Town, as well as postgraduate degrees in Visual Art (MAVA) and Architecture (BArch), Dr Valley brings a transdisciplinary perspective to her curatorial practice. Her current research and practice is focussed on interrogating the representation of African colonial histories within institutional and exhibitionary contexts.
