Lindokuhle Nkosi

Speaker

Lindokuhle Nkosi is a South African writer and interdisciplinary practitioner whose textual interventions often extend beyond the page, merging with installation and performance to explore the spatial, material, and performative dimensions of language. The Founding Editor of the first dedicated arts pages on South Africa’s largest mainstream news platform, Nkosi has contributed to a wide range of local and international publications.

Her expansive body of work and curatorial practices, which traverses journalistic, reflective, and experimental modes of writing, are marked by a sensitivity to texture - both linguistic and material - and an engagement with lived realities.

Nkosi’s scholarly pursuits reflect a deep engagement with modes of survival, dreaming and the Black radical imaginary. Holding an MA in Creative Writing, her research interrogates the creative and liberatory vernaculars emerging from hyper-violent societies, situating language as both an archive of trauma and a site of potential rupture.
