Siddhartha Mitter

Siddhartha Mitter is a writer on contemporary art whose interests span social, civic and aesthetic issues in the field. He writes artist profiles, reported features and criticism. He is a frequent contributor to The New York Times and has written in many other publications within and beyond the art field. Siddhartha has worked in culture journalism for two decades. He has received an Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant, was the AICA-USA Distinguished Critic in 2022, and was awarded a Rabkin Prize for arts writing in 2024. He is based in New York.
